Terms of Service

Last updated: 16 June 2026

1. Acceptance

By using SKUA you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. Organiser and Traveller roles

SKUA has two roles. Organisers create and run trips, events and club sessions, set their requirements and prices, and manage who joins. Travellers discover groups and request to join. The same account may act in either capacity where enabled.

3. SKUA is a marketplace, not the trip operator

SKUA is a marketplace that connects organisers and travellers. SKUA does not own, run, lead, or operate any trip, event or session listed on the platform. SKUA is not a travel agent, tour operator, or co-host.

4. Organiser responsibility for delivery

The organiser of a trip is solely responsible for planning and delivering it — including itinerary, safety, bookings, permits, insurance, conduct, and compliance with applicable law. Any agreement about the trip is between the organiser and the travellers who join it. SKUA is not a party to that agreement and is not liable for an organiser's acts or omissions.

5. Fees and take rate

Using SKUA to discover and join may be free for travellers. Where SKUA facilitates a payment, SKUA may charge a service fee ("take rate") on the transaction, disclosed at the point of payment before you confirm. Organisers are responsible for their own taxes on amounts they collect.

Organiser tools (Pro Workspace) are offered on a monthly subscription. Founding organisers (the first 10) receive their first month of Pro Workspace free. Standard monthly pricing applies thereafter.

6. Verification and trust

SKUA offers phone and identity verification to help build trust, and badges that reflect it. Verification is a signal, not a guarantee; you remain responsible for your own judgement about who you travel with.

7. Acceptable use

8. Payments and refunds

Where payments are processed, they're handled by our payment partner. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy and the organiser's own cancellation terms for a given trip.

9. Dispute resolution

If a dispute arises about a trip, raise it first with the organiser. If unresolved, contact hello@skua.travel and we'll help mediate in good faith. Because SKUA is a marketplace and not the operator, disputes about trip delivery are ultimately between organiser and traveller. These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Goa shall have jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable rights you have under local law.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SKUA is provided "as is" and SKUA is not liable for the conduct of organisers or travellers, or for trips themselves. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after an update means you accept it. We'll revise the "last updated" date above.
